Places to Shoot, CWP Recognition, and State Laws
A great way to find a place to shoot is to visit your state's Department of Natural Resources website. Typically beneath the category of hunting they will either offer a list of ranges in the state or they will offer a search engine to find ranges close to your location. Select your state from the drop down menu and you can get a better idea of places to shoot in your area.
Understanding the current laws your state regarding handguns is very important. Each state has different laws about handguns and the acceptance of your CWP. It is YOUR responsibility to stay up to date on the law. The links provided for each state are for your reference. I am NOT responsible in any way for the information in the provided links. New and Used Firearms
This site sells primarily new firearms with a few second hand firearms mixed in. Along with firearms they also sell firearm accessories and ammunition.
This is another site that sells primarily new firearms as well as accessories and ammunition. Anyone looking for a firearm at a good price needs to look at this site.
Unlike Bud's and Impact Guns, Guns International sells primarily used firearms. I spend a lot of time looking at this particular site because I like the idea of holding a piece of history in my hands and firing it along side my new pistol. If you like older firearms or just slightly used firearms then this is a site you really need to visit.
This site focuses primarily on second hand firearms and is put together like classified advertisements with photos. They have some nice firearms and a lot are reasonably priced. Be cautions when purchasing because you may be purchasing from an individual or you may be purchasing from a FFL dealer. Make sure the person you are buying from is reputable.
Firearm Accessories
KIRKPATRICK LEATHER - I ordered my leather holster from Kirkpatrick Leather and I love it. It fits my pistol perfectly and it is comfortable to wear. If you are looking for a traditional leather holster you will want to check them out.
Brownells sells a wide range of firearm accessories and ammunition. When I decided to touch up a small spot on my barrel where the blueing was getting thin I found exactly what I needed right here.
MIDWEST GUN WORKS - When I decided to get an extra magazine for my Beretta this is where I found it and at a reasonable price. The company seems to focus on specialty parts as well as some of the more common accessories.
Reloading Tools and Supplies
I order most of my bullets from this company. Their prices are reasonable and I have never had any issues with any of the bullets I ordered.
This is another good site for ordering bullets and miscellaneous reloading accessories. So far I have ordered 3000 9mm 115 grain round nose bullets from Berry's and they perform well. There have been no failures of any kind. The only thing I did notice about these bullets is the taper of the round nose. It seems a little skinnier towards the tip than the bullets I ordered from Affordable Brass and Bullets. I wasn't sure if this small difference would cause any issues, but so far it's caused none.
If you are serious about reloading and want large quantities of supplies then this is the company for you. Personally I have never been able to order from them direct because the minimum order requirement as of January 5, 2012 is 35,000 bullets. However, they do offer a link to their distributors so people can purchase a smaller number of bullets.
X-TREME BULLETS - These are the same bullets found on the Affordable Brass and Bullets site and they seem to perform very well. As I mentioned before I have never had any issues and I have used about two thousand of these bullets so far.
MONTANA GOLD BULLET - This company came up during one of my many searches and people had good things to say about them, but I have yet to order any bullets from them. Once I do place my first order I will update this description.
